Stacy has been married for twenty-four years to Steve Stringer, a mechanical engineer contracted to work for W. S. Nelson & Company. He is a private recreational pilot, an outdoor enthusiast, and a native of Cleveland, Ohio.
Stacy was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island in Amityville New York. She graduated from State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1979. She also completed courses in the MBA program at the University of Houston and holds a Non-Profit Executive Certificate.
She is an associate of the Order of St. Helena (Episcopal) and in a program for Spiritual Directors at the Villa de Matel’s Ruah Center.
Music is one of her greatest joys, and she is a beach person who loves the feel of the sand and the sea.
Two articles written by Stacy are posted on the bulletin board in Wolston Hall. “Perfect Love Casts out Fear” was originally published in the March 2009 edition of The Texas Episcopalian, and subsequently published in Episcopal Life and Episcopal Life Online. This article reveals the decisions and challenges she faced when she transitioned from a collapsing corporate world to ordination. “Never Say Never” was published in The Weekly Window at Trinity Episcopal Church. Its title derived from the inscription on her ordination cake.
